Our analysis on the hysteric reactions to the Black Plague, and its relation to the same hysteria caused by the Salem Witch Trials. Both acts of hysteria were driven heavily by reliance on religion to cope with a seemingly otherwise unsolvable issue. Religion, in both cases, was the unwarranted solution to the issue at hand.
